For things to change you have to change.  Most people wish that economics would change, taxes would change, or everything around you would change. But if you want things to change you have to change.

Don’t wish for things to get better, wish for you to get better.  Don’t wish for less challenge but for more wisdom.  Humans can do the most remarkable things no matter what happens.  These are philosophies that can change your life, these are philosophies that changed Jim Rohn’s life and me.

Jim Rohn\\\\\\\’s – The Law of Averages

If you do something often enough a ratio will appear.  In baseball they call this a batting average.  You talk to 10 people and 1 says yes a ratio has just appeared.  Once the ratio has begun it continues and now you can compete.

Once you understand the law of averages what you lack in skill you make up in numbers to get success.  Anyone with a little ambition can do this.  The law of averages can be increased.  You get better each time you keep working the averages and numbers.  You talk to 10 you get 1, you talk to 10 you get 2, you talk to 10 and get 3.  You keep getting better and better.

In baseball you hit the ball 3 times out of 10 in baseball they will pay you 4 million dollars.

You don’t have to bat a 1000 to make big money, 1 out of 10 is good, 3 out of 10 will make you rich beyond your imagination.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping.

The story of the sower comes from the bible.  The sower of ambitious he had excellent seed.  The excellent seed could be an excellent product or opportunity.

The sower goes out to plant the seed but as he does it the sower drops some seeds and the birds came to get those seeds.  The birds are going to get some of the seeds.  You invite someone to the opportunity but didn’t show up.  Where did he go?  The birds got him.

When the birds get them you have two options.  One option is to chase the birds.  When you chase the birds you leave the field which is going to distract from your future.  When things are disappointing you can just say, isn’t that interesting.

The sower kept on sowing which was a secret to his success.  If you sow more you can sow more than the birds can keep up with.  Now the seed falls on rocky ground where the soil is shower and it is not of your making.

This time the little seed starts to grow but the first hot day it withers and dies.  Not an easy thing to watch.  I finally get John started and sure enough he’s gone.  He doesn’t show up to the second meeting and you thought he would at least last a week.

He was gone because the weather was to hot and you can just say isn’t that interesting.  You can chase him and find out why but I wouldn’t take that class.  How come some last longer?  Some don’t stay and that is just one of those who don’t stay.  You can’t solve this it is like rearranging the seasons, you can just cooperate with it.

But the sower kept on sowing and he had to discipline his disappointment because some are not going to stay and this is not of your making.

Now the seed falls on thorny ground and now the little plant starts to grow but the thorns choke it to death and dies.  The thorns are going to get some but that is not of your making.  Little cares, little distraction, who knows what they are.  You tell John he missed a meeting and asked him what happen.  John explains extra trash piled up so he couldn’t make the meeting.

People let little things cheat them out of big opportunities and you feel helpless.  What can you do?  Well nothing and that is just the way it is like winter following fall.  The thorns are going to get some.

The sower keeps on sowing and keeps on pushing, keeps on talking to people and keeps on showing the opportunity.  Finally the seed falls on good ground.

“It Always Will if You Keep Sowing”

If you share a good opportunity long enough it will fall on good people.

Some of the good ground did 30%, some of it did 60%, some did 100%.

It’s not up to you to know why just know it is just the way it is.

You can try get the people doing 30% to do 60% but you can’t.  Let the 30s do 30s and the 60s do 60s and the 100s do 100s.

Developing a New Philosophy that You Can Do It.

Getting a customer and making a sale is a skill you will want to learn.  Simply by sharing something you discovered and doing it well enough.

Learning sales can multiply your income, for Jim Rohn it multiplied his sales by 5.

Learn Recruiting.  How to present and communicate formal and informal and following up.  Once you start a new life now you have to take care of it.  You have to nourish it like a mother and protect it like a father.

You are the bridge from the shadows to the sunlight.  It is the bridge you help people walk across the bridge from skepticism to belief.  You see something in them before they can see it in themselves.  This is one of the great arts in the world and pays big money.
